Keep St. Tammany Beautiful: Lacombe Community Day
On Friday, April 28, 2017 several staff members from Bayou Lacombe Middle School participated in the “Keep St. Tammany Beautiful: Lacombe Community Day.” The participants came together to fight litter and beautify the Lacombe Community. Teacher Appreciation Week Career Day
Students of the Month for March 2017 Each month at Bayou Lacombe Middle School, students who display good
character and citizenship are chosen by their teachers as “Student
of the Month.” Students received a certificate, a student of the
month button, pencil, candy bar, and Spring cupcakes with the Principal,
Raymond Morris. Congratulations to the following Students of the Month
for March: Alanna C, Jonathan N, Jedidiah B, Cheyanne P, Logan K, Mykensie
B, Alexandria D, Caleb T, Dakota M, Brandon P, and Jason L! Students of the Month for February 2017

Students of the Month for January 2017
Math Night (Numbers & Nachos) Bayou Lacombe Middle School welcomed the families of
students to Math Night on January 12, 2017. The theme this year was
Numbers & Nachos. The parents and students were able to visit several
classrooms to participate in handson math activities such as: working
with fractions, grocery store math, rounding, and measurement. After
the activities the Principal, Raymond Morris, reviewed the 2017 School
Improvement Plan with parents and students. Parents were also given
the opportunity to explore two technology enhanced math websites, Study
Island and Reflex Math to help their child at home.

Students of the Month for November 2016
Bayou Lacombe Middle School hosted a Thanksgiving Food
Drive from November 9th until November 16th. Mrs. Michelle Day (6th
Grade Teacher & Sponsor) along with the Leadership Council members
of BLMS organized the event and helped to pack boxes for donation. Students
contributed can goods and nonperishable food items. BLMS collected
over 617 food items. Ms. Catina Walker's class contributed 200 of the
items.
